Positivity is an attitude that can be learned, it is a skill. Positivity radiates and inspires you to do your best in your work, in your life, in your relationship; basically in whatever you do.

Positivity is not just a simple feeling, it serves a purpose in widening your vision in life. It is a good catalyst for change, for personal well being, and developing a better version of you. When we inject positivity into our lives, the results are win-win.

Know that being positive doesn’t mean bad days will never happen; in contrast, positivity is striking down negativity.

Here are 4 practical ways to the road of positivity:

1. Start your day right

If you want to radiate positivity, you need to start your day right. Strive to wake up early, giving yourself plenty of time to complete your morning routine. Start your day with a smile and tell yourself that it’s going to be a beautiful day. Did you know a smile has the benefit of strengthening your immune system, and it also releases neurotransmitters that promote a good mood.

A morning prayer may also energize your day. You can also start the day by playing music that will hype your morning. Don’t check your social media. Take this time to focus on yourself and your energy.

2. Focus on good things, big or small

There is no such thing as a “perfect day.” In every challenge throughout your day, no matter how irritating it may be, try to focus on the good. Learn to appreciate small things that you may normally take for granted. Be grateful for a beautiful ray of sunshine, a smile from a stranger, the fragrance of freshly brewed coffee, hearing your favorite song on the radio, or anything that can brighten your day. Use your 5 senses to focus on good things, no matter how small they may seem.

3. Turn your failures into lessons

Nobody is perfect. Life is about taking chances, trying new things, and seeing what happens. We grow and we learn, that’s how it works. In every downfall and failure there is beauty. The key point is you understand your mistakes and learn from it. In every failure there is a potential growth, and the only enemy of success is the fear of failure.

4. Focus on NOW

This exact moment, NOW! Focus and stay in the present moment. You only have now. Worrying for tomorrow doesn’t empty tomorrow, it affects just your NOW’s strength. Being present and focusing on now means you are conscious of your life as it happens. When you are being mindful, you enjoy your life, your friends, your hobbies, your family, your housework, your job, your rest day and etc. If you have issues you focus on from your past, forgive and don’t dwell. Always move forward and live NOW!
