8 New Year’s Resolution For A Better Life

The New Year is only a few weeks away, and like every other person in the whole world, you probably have already been reevaluating your life choices and have thought of going to start and to live a new & a better life the next year.

That’s great! That’s what New Years are for, a chance to start fresh.

Well, now grab yourself a pen and write down all the things you want to improve in your life! Here’s a list of life-changing New Year’s Resolution you might want to consider adding in your list:

1.Start Living a Healthy Life

Losing weight is the top New Year’s resolution. You’ve probably already thought about losing weight years before, but was not able to achieve it. But don’t worry, here’s another year! The problem is not always about starting, but it is actually about sticking with your decision. Start slowly, but surely, like starting with removing junk food from your usual diet. Eat healthier food and never eat too much, no matter how healthy. Don’t ever starve yourself. And of course, exercise! Whether you do it at home, or at the gym, it does not really matter as long as you get moving and be able to sweat. There are thousands of free videos and diet plan you can search on the internet. Also do your research on what kind of healthy recipes you can make at home.

2.Read Books More

If you did your research, you probably know that most billionaires read books for about more than three-five hours a day, or even more! This is because they know that reading books is the ultimate way to learn and gain knowledge about almost everything. It’s also a great way to exercise your brain, unlike watching TV all the time. Make a list of the kinds of books you want to read about, look for most-read book suggestions on the internet, and decide on a goal. Maybe, if you are not already a bookworm, start off with finishing one book every two months. “Knowledge is Power” is what they always say.

3.Save Money and Spend Less

It’s always very satisfying to be able to count how much money you’ve been able to save for three months. Imagine how much more if you save for the entire year? You’ll be surprised with how much money you will be able to make! Of course, for you to be able to save, try spending less. Manage your allowance and try not to spend more than what you actually earn. You may also want to earn money, and one other way than asking for allowance, is to get a job. If you are still a student, you can work part-time on fast food establishments, or even work online. Then set aside money to save, and money for spending.

4.Learn Something New

Develop a new skill, or improve your talent. There are lots of things you can start enrolling in to acquire such skill. Maybe you plan on going on trip to a foreign country soon, so you might want to consider learning a new language. Some other things you may want to learn are cooking, a new sport, a new instrument, self-defense, or whatever. If you want a challenging year, then go and search around where you can have a new learning experience.

5.Be Able to Travel More Often

Travelling is in everyone’s bucket list. Maybe you haven’t travelled enough this year, so start planning for your next vacation and spend more time travelling on the next year. There are many blogs on the internet that talks about their travels. For you to have a heads up on the places where you want to travel, which are the best landmarks to go to, how much this and that costs, just look it up on the internet! Blogs can help you budget your travels.

6.Give up A Bad Habit

What are the things you think you’ve been doing almost every day that is not good? It could be how you treat other people, or maybe an alcohol addiction, or you smoke two packs of cigarettes daily. Whatever you think is a danger to other people and to yourself, how about giving it up? It’s also part of living a healthy lifestyle.

7.Be More Organized

To be organized is to also have discipline. You have to be not-lazy to keep your things organized and free from mess. Instead of saying, “I’ll do it later.” try instantly cleaning up something when needed. This will keep your room or desk clean. When you have a clean space, you will be able to be more productive and it will give you a good mood. An organized workplace, house, room, can lead to a more productive and organized life.

8.Live a More Happier Life

If you think you have been miserable most of the time, it’s time that you change that! Learn to be happier and be grateful with everything. There have been researches saying that showing gratitude can increase your happiness levels. It will also help you think more on the bright side, and less on the negative. When you are also happy, you will feel less stressed because being stressed can be destructive to your health, especially on your mental health. Remember that happiness is a choice and sometimes it’s hard to be happy when you are facing a lot of trouble, but don’t you ever lose hope and always remember that everything happen for a reason and that there is always a bright side.

One thing, there’s no point in having the desire to do such things if you just can’t discipline yourself to continue doing it. You don’t have to wait for the New Year. Make that change now!
